Why is Fiber Laser Marking Machine More Suitable for the Engraving of Metal Parts?

in Blog, ,

Metal laser marking machine, also known as fiber laser marking machine, can not only achieve marking on metal, but also laser engraving on non-metal (ceramic, mobile phone case, etc.). When it comes to lettering or engraving on metal, fiber laser marking machine is generally used.

Fiber laser marking machine exposes the deep material through the evaporation of the surface material, or the traces “carved” by the optical and physical changes of the surface material caused by light energy, or burns off part of the material through light energy, showing the required engraved patterns, text, barcodes and other graphics.

Fiber laser marking machine is mainly composed of three major components: laser, galvanometer and marking controlled board.

Laser marking machine using fiber laser has good beam quality, the output laser wavelength is 1064nm, and the life of the whole machine is about 100,000 hours. Compared with UV and carbon dioxide models, it has a long service life, and the electro-optical conversion efficiency is more than 28%. Compared with other types of marking machines with 2-10% conversion rate, it has a great advantage. The marking speed can reach 7000mm/s, the standard marking range is 150mm*150mm, and the large range can reach 600mm*600mm (optional if a larger marking range is required).

Metal materials are very common in our lives. The fiber laser marking machine has the advantages of fast metal marking, no wear, high precision, wear resistance, and clear marking. The metal laser marking machine uses laser as the processing method, and there is no additional external force and mechanical pressure between the workpiece, so it is especially suitable for high hardness (such as cemented carbide), high brittleness (solar silicon wafer), and high melting point requirements of particularly high occasions.
