There are several main aspects of power consumption of fiber laser cutting machines (metal laser cutting machines):

1. Laser generator

It depends on the power of the laser generator, generally a 2000W generator is about 30KVA, and a 4000W generator is about 50KVA. The greater the power, the greater the power consumption.

2. The mechanical part

These parts of power consumption include the servo system, NC, and various electrical components, which depend on the power consumption of the motor size designed by the laser cutting machine manufacturer. Generally it requires more than 10KVA.

3. Water cooling machine

It is used to cool the optical path and generator. According to the power of the generator, the water cooling capacity must also match. Generally, it must be above 20KVA.

4. Air compressor

The power of the air compressor varies from laser cutting machine manufacturers, at least 5KVA or more.

5. Dust removal devices

Some manufacturers also have dust removal devices, which are calculated separately.

Based on the above, for example, the maximum power consumption of a 2000W laser cutting machine in one hour is 65KVA, about 50 degrees.

Of course, the laser cutting machine cannot always run at full power. Generally, it requires 30-40 kilowatt hours of electricity at a 70% or 80% discount.
